Overview of Bachelor Of Psychology (Honours) in University of Sarawak Sarawak UNIMAS Malaysia

This program is designed to produce professionals with a broad knowledge of psychology who study personality, human development, social behavior, abnormal behavior, cognitive neuroscience, and physiological aspects of human being. By understanding the principles of human behavior, it is hope that graduated students will be able to provide expertise and skills in serving and improving the community. This undergraduate program is broad and comprehensive, conducted through a combination of lectures, tutorial, case study and practical with due regard to the code of conduct. Besides, students will be exposed to the real world through their practical work to the industry/hospital/schools/other communities. This program prepares students to pursuit their study into postgraduate programs and/or other occupations requiring a Psychology background.

Entry Requirements.

STPM CATEGORY

• Obtained at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) at STPM level in any two (2) subjects (excluding General Studies) 
• Obtained at least passed Grade E at SPM level in the
  following subjects:
  Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
  English
• Obtained at least Band 3.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

MATRICULATING / BASIC CATEGORY

• Obtained at least Grade C (2.00) in any two (2) subjects at the Matriculation / Foundation level.
• Obtained at least passed Grade E at SPM level in the following subjects:
  ? Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
  ? English
• Obtained at least Band 3.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

CATEGORY STAM (Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia)

• Obtained at least the Rank of  Jayyid in the Sijil
  Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) Examination
• Obtained at least passed Grade E at SPM level in the following subjects:

  Mathematics / Additional Mathematics

  English

• Obtained at least  Level 2 (Band 2) in the  Malaysian University English Test  (MUET)

CATEGORY DIPLOMA

• Possess a Diploma in a related field or other qualification recognized by the UNIMAS Senate by obtaining a CGPA of at least 2.00
• Include academic transcripts from the first semester to the final semester
• Obtained at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) at STPM level in any two (2) subjects (excluding General Studies)
• Obtained at least Grade C (2.00) in any two (2) subjects at the Matriculation / Foundation level.
• Obtained at least the Rank of  Jayyid in the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) Examination and
• Obtained at least passed Grade E at SPM level in the following subjects:
  Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
  English
• Obtained at least  Level 2 (Band 2) in the  Malaysian University English Test  (MUET)

 EQUIVALENT CATEGORY

• Have Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia or
  credit in Malay / Bahasa Malaysia paper in July and passed in the subjects of history (SPM 2013 and above); Dan
• Have a GCE A Level qualification with at least a Grade C in any of the following 2 subjects:
  Mathematics / Physics / Biology / Chemistry / Computing / History
  Or
• Pass the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 26 and get at least a score of 4 in any two (2) subjects at the High Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL) level. Or
• Have an Australian Matriculation Program (AUSMAT) with at least Grade C for any 3 subjects  And
• Obtaine at least Band 3.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)./ Band 5.5 in IELTS test / score 500 in TOEFL PBT test / score of 46-59 in TOEFL iBT.
