Overview of Diploma in Interior Design in INTI International University Malaysia

The Diploma in Interior Design provides a comprehensive foundation in creative and technical aspects of interior spaces. Students develop essential skills in space planning, design processes, and visual presentation, while gaining an understanding of professional practices such as building materials, furniture design and construction, project specifications, and contract documentation.

The programme integrates practical project work across diverse sectors, including residential, retail, restaurant, and hotel design. Learners gain valuable industry exposure through live projects, design competitions, showroom visits, and intensive internships.

Students are trained to sketch, illustrate, and develop design concepts, along with mastering industry-standard software such as 3D MAX and AutoCAD. Strong emphasis is placed on technical knowledge and construction detailing to ensure graduates are well-prepared for professional practice in the interior design industry.

Entry Requirements of Diploma in Interior Design in INTI International University Malaysia

• SPM – Minimum 3 credits
• UEC – Minimum 3Bs
• STPM – Minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in 1 subject
• A-Level – Pass A-Level with a minimum of 1 subject
• SKM – Level 3 in Art and Design field with 1 credit in SPM
• Certificate – Pass a certificate in a related field
• Technical and Vocational Certificate – Related Technical and Vocational Certificate or equivalent recognised by the Malaysian Government, with one year of related working experience OR completion of a 1-semester bridging programme
• Others – Recognised Art and Design Certificate or equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government; AND pass a Portfolio Review or Art Test conducted by the College for candidates without a pass in Art subject
